Lori Ranallo
RN, MSN, APRN-BC, CBCN
Lori Ranallo is a board certified, oncology nurse practitioner at the University of Kansas Cancer Center, where she has cared for women with breast cancer for over 30 years. She is passionate about survivorship care issues and providing thorough screening, accurate diagnosis and appropriate education and referrals to her patients. She is certified in Clinical Breast Care, Genetic Risk Counseling, Lymphedema Management, Tobacco Cessation Management and End of Life Care. She is a recipient of the 2022 Magnet Nurse of the Year, 2015 Ingram's Heroes in Healthcare Award, 2011 Hematology/Oncology Nurse of the Year Excellence Award and the recipient of the 1992 E. Jean M. Hill outstanding clinical BSN student award. She is the past chair of and board member of the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) National Certified Breast Care Nurse Test Development Committee (2012-2019). She is the past Kansas State Lead Ambassador for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (2020-2022) and the past Kansas Legislative Liaison for the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (2019 – 2022) and is very active at both the state and national levels advocating for people with cancer. She served as the President of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (2022). She is a core faculty member for the University of Kansas School of Nursing where she provides an oncology rotation for selected Doctor of Nursing Students.
