Recognizing shock along with its classification and etiology is a common challenge all providers will encounter. This workshop aims to help the novice and experienced clinician manage different shock states by providing tools and skills sets needed to treat the various types of shock they may encounter in their practice.

Sean P. Dent, DNP, ACNP-BC, CCRN
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Sean P. Dent, DNP, ACNP-BC, CCRN is an accomplished acute care nurse practitioner with almost 20 years of ICU nursing experience. Holding a Doctorate degree and several certifications, his career has been dedicated to advancing patient care and medical education. Dr. Dent's critical care expertise spans a wide range of settings including cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, medical, trauma, neuro, surgical, and oncology intensive care. He has experience as a preceptor, clinical instructor, and nurse educator. As a national public speaker, he offers presentations and speaking engagements to nurses at all levels and remains an adjunct nursing professor.
He is passionate about staying current with evidence-based medicine in healthcare and is committed to sharing his knowledge and experiences. He has embraced micro-learning on social media platforms sharing all facets of his perspectives.As an experienced nurse practitioner, he strongly supports new nurse practitioners as they cross the divide from seasoned nurse to novice nurse practitioner. He believes coffee is a food group, eats pancakes every chance he gets.. and has over 20 tattoos.
