This is a seated therapeutic class so there is no need for special yoga clothing or gear. This way of practicing yoga was studied during the early phases of the pandemic in 2020. After eight 1-hour sessions, results indicated statistical significance in reducing four types of symptoms (PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia) in health professionals.

Jay Gupta is the Director of Pharmacy & Integrative Health at Harbor Care and President of www.YogaCaps.org and www.RxRelax.com. An international speaker, he is recognized by Cardinal Health, by the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations (NASPA), and by Next Generation Pharmacists/Pharmacy Times for excellence in medication education and integrative therapies.
He is a leader in the deprescription movement and a trailblazer in the therapeutic use of seated yoga for persons who experience physical and mental health challenges. In 2020, he completed a clinical trial studying the effects of therapeutic telehealth yoga for healthcare professionals during a pandemic in collaboration with Antioch University. He is Faculty Chief of the “Therapeutic Telehealth Yoga for Healthcare Professionals” course.
