Reflecting on Three Decades in a Full Practice Authority State: Opportunities and Challenges for the Nurse Practitioner

What is full practice authority and is it important? This session will focus on the challenges and opportunities that exist for nurse practitioners working in a full practice state vs. supervisory/collaborative state. Having worked in a supervisory and full practice authority state, Dr. Wright will present lessons learned over 30 years as a family nurse practitioner and 15 years as an owner of two nationally acclaimed primary care clinics which serve more than 6500 patients in a full practice authority state. In addition, state and federal barriers which continue to exist will be discussed with solutions for successful elimination of those barriers. This is a session you don't want to miss.
