This lecture will review the general pathophysiology and epidemiology of various liver diseases with a greater focus on liver cirrhosis and associated sequelae including how to approach management of these complications. We will also review pharmacology options in the management of other common chronic liver diseases.

-Review medication considerations in cirrhosis and chronic liver disease (CLD)
- Discuss current pharmacology in management of other common chronic liver diseases (CLD)

Christina received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN where she graduated cum laude in 2001. In 2005, she returned to school to obtain her MSN after completing the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Regis University. She graduated with honors and was nominated for the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. Christina has been working at South Denver Gastroenterology since 2007 as a nurse practitioner, treating patients with both GI and liver disease and she is a sub investigator in the research department at SDGI. She is a course director and board of trustee for GHAPP and has had the opportunity to participate in educating other healthcare providers across the country as a national speaker. Christina enjoys running and traveling, and she loves spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters playing in the mountains of Colorado.
