Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are the fastest-growing profession and are poised to become the next primary care providers. Since NPs are seen as the most trusted profession, we often let our guard down when it comes to deciding who we should trust. There are many factors that make NPs vulnerable to entities who do not have the best interest of NPs at heart. Coupled with the lack of business education in our training, this can be problematic. This session will focus on the opportunities and challenges in healthcare for NPs, how we can amplify our message of the nursing model, and increase our visibility. Lastly, NPs must learn ways to protect their practice so we can have an impact on healthcare delivery both now and in the future.
