Managing the Hospitalized Cardiac Patient

This session is a crash course into some of the newest ways to diagnose ACS, some new risk factors in women, new physical exam findings that can help you assess severity of heart disease and some new apps that are helpful in clinical medicine.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After taking part in this educational activity, participants should be better able to:

-As a result the learner will be able to identify the new risk factors for acs in women.
-After taking this class the learner will be able to correctly decide when to consider amyloidosis in a heart failure pt (Review new cardiac testing that is being used to determine if someone has cad that is less invasive than an angiogram but can get you very accurate data.)
-After this activity the learner will be able to correctly use the CTA with FFR to ascertain if there is CAD
-Discuss the new heart failure pillars and how not all of our patients can get all the drugs due to financial barriers and how to navigate around it.
