Since electronic nicotine delivery systems or ENDs (E-Cigarettes), first came to the US market in 2006, there has been a proliferation of devices, and their use has skyrocketed, especially in the adolescent population. Use of ENDs in this population has exposed a significant number of teens to nicotine containing tobacco products and well as other substances that can be vaped. Although there has been evidence that E-Cigarettes have some efficacy as a harm reduction tool in certain long term combustible tobacco users, the identification of known and potential health risks of these products are increasing.
