LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After taking part in this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
-Recommend appropriate LDL lowering therapies for primary and secondary prevention of stroke and acute coronary syndrome
-Recommend appropriate monitoring when prescribing cholesterol-reducing medications
-Recommend additional therapies considered to achieve treatment goals (i.e. ezetimibe or PCSK9 inhibitors)

Jason is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy at MCPHS University. He completed his PharmD at the University of Rhode Island, College of Pharmacy in 2001. In 2002, he completed a Pharmacy Residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Since 2002, he has been a full time faculty member at MCPHS University focusing on adult in-patient internal medicine, acute heart failure, and ambulatory care. Jason currently brings his advanced practice students to Baystate Medical Center for clinical rotations.
