Amelie Hollier, DNP, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN

Advanced Practice Education Associates (APEA)

Dr. Amelie Hollier is a family nurse practitioner in Lafayette, La. She has practiced as an APRN for the last 29 years.

She co-founded Advanced Practice Education Associates (APEA), a nurse practitioner education company 26 years ago where she served as President and CEO until December, 2021. She enjoys teaching at state and national nurse practitioner conferences across the United States on pharmacology topics and clinical updates.

In the last 28 years, Amelie has authored, co-authored, and edited 26 books for nurse practitioners and nurse practitioner students. Her Clinical Guidelines in Primary Care, Fourth Edition has been a national best seller.

Amelie is a 1988 graduate of USL in the College of Nursing.

She completed the inaugural post Masters FNP program at USL.

She received her doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) at the University of Tennessee in 2007 where her area of study was pharmacotherapeutics.

Amelie has the unique distinction of being a double Fellow. She is a Fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing FAAN.

She was the 2022 Outstanding UL Alumni and currently serves on the UL Foundation Board of Trustees.
