Theresa is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with over 29 years’ experience at Stanford Health Care. She received her graduate degree from University of California, San Francisco.
Her current clinical practice within the Division of Pain Medicine focuses primarily on evaluation and treatment of individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions in both the acute care and outpatient settings.
Theresa is a nationally recognized clinician, speaker, author and thought leader in the field of pain management. In 2025 Theresa was inducted into the Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, additionally she has been recognized by AANP as the 2024 Nurse Practitioner State Award of Excellence award winner for the State of California, the Point of Care Network as one of America’s top Nurse Practitioners in Pain Management in 2019, 2021 & 2022, and Advance Practice Provider of the year at Stanford Health Care in 2015.
A few of her national leadership roles have included past co-chair of the AANP pain management SIG, founding co-chair of the AAPM APP SIG, board member AAPM foundation and founding board member and secretary of the Pain Medicine Academy of Advance Practice Practitioners.
