Common Orthopedic Concerns in Primary Care

Common musculoskeletal primary care complaints involve low back, hip, shoulder, or knee pain. In this session, the learner will develop a greater understanding and confidence in discerning between common differential diagnoses for these regional musculoskeletal pain complaints. Additionally, the learner will be able to formulate an initial treatment approach to these common primary care musculoskeletal conditions.

Michael E. Zychowicz, DNP is a Professor at Duke University School of Nursing.  Dr. Zychowicz has built a 20-year career in orthopedics as both a clinician, educator, and scholar. He leads the only Orthopedic NP graduate educational program at Duke University.  Dr. Zychowicz is board certified as both an Adult NP and Orthopedic NP.  Dr. Zychowicz is the author of several musculoskeletal book chapters and journal articles.  He frequently presents on various musculoskeletal topics at national and international conferences.
